The green oak was a tree that was uprooted in early 2014. We were lucky enough to be able to plank the tree ourselves and these shelves seamed like the perfect opportunity to use such a local and fresh piece of timber. Brown oak is a standard oak tree that has had the beef steak mushroom growing on and in it causing the wood inside the tree to be stained a dark brown. This also gives great contrast to the normal oak. This set of Orchard shelves were fitted in a beautiful cottage near Leighton Buzzard and designed to fit over the door. The Oak was resourced from Storrington, West Sussex and the Brown Oak from Liphook, Hampshire.   [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
